Become a PADI Open Water Scuba Diver

 

Diver Prequisites

  • 10 years old and older (10-14 year old divers earn Junior Open Water Diver certification)

  • Meet watermanship requirements*

  • ​Complete a PADI Medical questionnaire (
    First timers and students: Print and reveiw the Medical Statement and Participant record. 
    The medical statement form is for persons wishing to become certifed as Open Water Divers or
    continuing their Diving Education.
     


     

What you will use

  • Mask, fins, snorkel, scuba cylinder, buoyancy control device (this and other equipment will be provided)
     

What you will learn

  • The core principles of scuba divng under the direct supervison of a PADI professional SCUBA Instructor.

  • The concepts and terms that you need to know for safety and so you can enjoy diving.

  • Learn and practice scuba skills in pool or water with pool like conditions under direct supervision.

  • Enjoy making one or more minidives, which take you through the same steps you follow when you make Open Water Dives.

  • Experince the thrill of breathing underwater
