


Meet the YEC Ltd Team
Llewelyn Meggs MPhil.
Managaing Director/PADI Instructor

Mr. Llewelyn Meggs is a trained Marine Biologist and Fisheries Specailist who studied at the University of the West Indies Mona.​ He is a former teacher of CSEC and CAPE biology at Immaculate Conception High School and Campion College. He has administered field trips for high school students in the marine environment for the past eight years, working with the University’s marine labs to do so. He is trained and certified as a PADI Open Water SUCBA Instructor and Dive Emergency Management Provider. As Education Officer of the Natural History Division of the Institute of Jamaica in 2003 – 2005, he was responsible for coordinating and administering science based lessons and tours for students ranging from age 5 – 19. Llewelyn Meggs is currently employed with the Jamaica Environment Trust as the Conservation Director of the Pedro Bank Management Programme.

Jaedon Lawe Bsc.

Mr. Jaedon Lawe is a trained Marine Biologist having received his Bsc degree from the University of the West Indies in 2013. He has been an integral part of the Pedro Programme since 2012, assisting in the coordination of awareness, enforcement, monitoring and conservation activities. Jaedon has spent long periods of time on the cays interacting with the fishing community and earning their trust. He is responsible for coordinating activities on the cays. He is a certified PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor.
